Jog-a-Thon

Jog-a-thon: October 6th

As members of the John Baker community, every year we continue to honor John Baker's memory through this family friendly event. Kindergarten through 2nd grade students will walk/run around the grass (about 1/8 mile) at Hoover field (just west of John Baker). The older kids will do laps on the dirt track (about 1/5 mile) at Hoover field. Prior to the event children will come home with pledge sheets, asking for flat-fee donations or per-lap donations. The PTO members seek sponsors from businesses and placed on the back of the Jog-a-thon shirt.  Through their efforts the PTO will be able to raise funds for school needs. 100% of the money raised through this event stays at John Baker. This is a great event to attend with your child. You can walk/run with them, cheer them on, or help man the water table to make sure everybody stays hydrated.

This event brings in about $9000 to the school.
